250 years ago, György Klimó opened his episcopal library in Pécs to the public. This collection of books was Hungary's first major public bibliography, which could be used by anyone who could read and write, regardless of their social status.
On the occasion of this remarkable anniversary, Klimó Library joins the Zsolnay Light Festival with great programs.
As part of the guided walking tour in the building, visitors are going to be invited to discover the halls of the Klimó Library building, while getting acquainted with the history of the building, the library and the university. The groups are also going to visit the building's bird-friendly garden. During the program, it will be possible to visit the temporary and permanent exhibitions of the Klimó Library and the University-History Collection of Pécs.
